Be careful when driving in poor weather conditions
With the onset of winter, we can expect the weather to worsen and get damp, windy and cold, and soon enough we will begin to see frost and snow. Driving in such conditions can test the best drivers amongst but inevitably we do occasionally get involved in an accident with another driver or pedestrian. If you are unfortunate enough to be involved in any kind of collision there are some steps that you should follow. First of all record as much information about the incident as possible including the details of all the people involved. Make notes as to the time, date and weather conditions, also the road, direction and speed you were traveling at. Get as much details from the other person as possible such as their name, address, contact details, details of the car and note any damages. If you have a camera phone then take pictures of the car with the permission of the owner. When you get the opportunity, visit your nearest hospital and report your injuries, which may be visible lacerations, soft tissue damage, or even psychological effects of your accident. Do not admit any liability at the scene of the accident until you have first spoken with your solicitor, it is their job to work on your behalf with your insurance company to find out who was to blame for the incident.
If you are involved in an incident like this, you can call Whitestone Solicitors on 0800 8 101010 and we will gladly help you to claim compensation that you may be entitled to.
